Terms of use
Beyond open beta · last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply to the Beyond website and the Open in Beyond extension during the open beta, run by Hakan Karakaşoğlu (yenidunia), İstanbul, Türkiye (“we”). By using Beyond you accept them.
What Beyond is
Beyond reads a YouTube video you are watching (its frames and transcript) and makes an interactive page from it, automatically. Pages are made by software and may contain mistakes or omissions. They are not professional advice of any kind; check what matters to you in the video itself and in proper sources.
The beta
- Anyone can use Beyond with the Open in Beyond extension, within a daily number of pages per installation and per network; an invite code gives a larger share and is personal: do not share it.
- Pages you make belong to your installation (or your invite code). New pages appear on Beyond's front page, where anyone can open them, unless you keep a page to yourself. We may change the daily limits, pause the beta or end it.
- Beyond is offered as it is, free of charge, without any guarantee that it is available, error-free or fit for a purpose.
Videos belong to their creators
The videos, their frames, words and music belong to their creators and rights holders. A page links to the original, quotes briefly and credits its sources. Beyond is not affiliated with YouTube or with the creators unless a page says so. Creators and rights holders can ask us to remove a page: see Content removal.
YouTube
Beyond plays videos through YouTube's own player and suggests related videos through YouTube API Services. By using Beyond you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
What you may not do
- Use Beyond to copy, republish or distribute videos or their content in ways their rights holders have not allowed.
- Use Beyond on videos you are not allowed to watch, or to make pages of content that is illegal, hateful or that harms someone.
- Try to get around the invite system or the limits, overload the service, or scrape it automatically.
- Present share cards or pages as made or endorsed by the video's creator.
We may remove pages, share cards or access that break these terms.
Share links
When you create a share link you choose to make your page's card public. You are responsible for where you post it. Stop sharing ends it.
Links to stores and other sites
Store buttons and links open other websites, which have their own terms. If a link earns Beyond a commission, the page says so next to it. As an Amazon Associate, Beyond earns from qualifying purchases.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using Beyond, or for content on third-party websites. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Questions: hello@openinbeyond.com.
